Employment: Full Time

The Company:
Established for almost 40 years our client is one of the leading commercial banks in Bahrain, they provide commercial financial services to the local and regional market and an intelligent financial solutions to a highly customer base. They are looking to recruit a Designated Credit Officer

Duties & Responsibilities:
Interact efficiently with internal business units and answer their queries and provide advice and consultancy on credit facilities reviews and proposals
Review and approve standard and exceptional documents related to credit facility including credit agreements, offer letters and other commitments of approved facilities to ensure full control of the credit risk and assurance of legal enforceability
Keep abreast of the overall market condition including economical/ political status, commercial practices and regulatory issues to be able to review credit proposals and conduct risk analysis to the banks credit portfolio as and when required
Validate all kind of various credit initiatives to ensure compliance with banks credit policies and procedures, applicable guidelines of banking regulatory authority and internal audit qualifications
Assess inherent risks of credit/ investment proposals and its mitigation against proper structure, pricing, grading and collateral along with appropriate recommendations to initiated proposals before submission to next credit/ investment approving authority
Stay abreast with the overall market economic & political conditions, commercial practices & regulatory issues in order to reflect effective credit reviews and monitoring of the bank credit portfolio

Requirements

Qualifications & Experiences:
Relevant degree and certifications
Minimum 5 years of experiences in a banking sector
Previous experience in a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic & English
