Job description / Role
Our client is a leading Western Engineering and Design Consultancy that specialise in major infrastructure projects and they are looking for a Designers Representative to manage the construction support team on the Doha Metro Project.
They are carrying out the multi-disciplinary design of 6 underground stations and 24km of bored tunnel, along with associated infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers with responsibility for; management of technical queries and design changes arising during construction, provision of technical support to the contractor, attendance at client meetings, construction monitoring data interpretation, review of method statements and material approval, review and approval of shop drawings and as-built drawings.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a western educated civil engineer or structural engineer with 15+ years in the industry and construction experience either with a contractor or designer. You must have good knowledge of construction of reinforced concrete structures and experience of MEP systems installation and underground works.
