Desktop Publisher/Graphic Designer
Abu Dhabi

This company provides a creative, graphics and formatting service across a broad range of pitches, presentations and other marketing materials.
Reporting to the senior designer, you will provide desktop publishing and graphic design support to the deal executives and will be responsible for the production of high quality marketing collateral, that meets business requirements and is consistent with brand guidelines. You'll combine your high level of proficiency in both MS Office 2007 and Adobe CS6 packages with a creative approach to content layout and template design, and be flexible and resilient while working within tight timeframes.
This role will have responsibility for a mix of graphic design and desktop publishing duties including:
* Creating a wide range of high-quality marketing material within branding guidelines: presentations, pitch books, bid submissions, invitations, advertisements, flyers, posters, business cards and brochures
* Creating new PowerPoint and Word templates for client presentations
* Providing advanced formatting support for PowerPoint and Word documents and Excel charting, including redesigning slides in PowerPoint
* Producing artwork from initial concept through to finished art from verbal or written brief
* Sourcing appropriate licensed imagery for relevant projects
* Tailoring pitch materials to specific client requirements or to convey key messages
* Assisting with branding projects (ie developing logos, packaging and template design)
* Sourcing, coordinating and liaising with external printers and other suppliers
* Upholding corporate branding to ensure consistency with style guide
* Workflow management in conjunction with senior designer
* Creating and updating business materials and resources
* Assisting with general MS Office requests and template/document troubleshooting
* Maintaining DTP documents, training resources and photo libraries
Requirements
Essential skills:
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 (PPT, Word, Excel) including developing and using templates within MS Office environment and Excel charting
* Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro (specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure and multi-task to meet deadlines
* Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency
* Strong creative vision and knowledge of the principles of good design/layout
* Excellent problem solving ability and a quick learner
Desired:
* Experience in a finance, professional services or fast-paced corporate environment
* Business/arts related degree
* Formal training in design or visual communications
* Some familiarity with html
* Able to speak Arabic and work with Arabic text
