DevOps Engineer - TV Network

Job description / Role

Develop (and automate where possible) standard operating procedures around common failure scenarios (e.g. scripted/automated rollback, failovers, escalation procedures, etc.)
Ensure security of the production infrastructure, systems and applications
Implement, administer, and maintain our databases, local and cloud-based servers including provisioning, backups and restores, upgrades, and monitoring
Consult on overall production system architecture
Develop test automation framework in collaboration with other team members
Coordinate and assist with QA and production release of critical applications
Perform trend analysis of ops issues and alerts to help identify areas for improvement.
Identify opportunities for integration test fixturing and automation

Requirements

Candidate must have 8-10 years experience working as Devops Engineer ideally gained from TV Network/Media.

System configuration automation tool puppet/chief/cfengine/ansible.
Deployment (release)
Apps/system monitoring
Nsible Application Deployment + Configuration Management

Zookeeper config management
Solar indexing
Memcache object caching
NewRelic monitoring tool
Jenkins continous build/release integration and testing tool
Watir-Webdriver-Performance testing
Cucumber Reports
Any code quality testing tool sonar, Findbugs, PMD, DRY or Checkstyle
Git branching/tagging and merging
Rackspace build a new m/c and cloud management
Edgecast and brightcove cdn like akamai cdn
Php tuning/security hardening along with various third party extensions
Apache tuning and security hardening
Tomcat and jvm security/performance tuning with various javaopts params
SOA and rest services interface among distributed apps env
