Job description / Role
Our client is mobile financial and retail provider looking for a mobile banking / transactional developer on a 6 month assignment. This role is based in Dubai with travel to Africa.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates with planning, analysis and design activities in conjunction with other development specialists. Including the development and testing of External and Internal Design documentation.
- Under general supervision, participates in analysis of complex business opportunities/problems to deliver designs to satisfy business requirements.
- Participates in estimation of tasks and assists in the development of project plans for small to medium sized projects.
- Under minimal supervision, codes or makes modifications to programs of high complexity according to detailed specifications. This includes the execution of unit and operability testing in accordance with the SDLC as required.
- Under supervision, prepares test data, conducts test verification and documents test cases.
- Provides for each application development project, the required documentation including Software unit test strategy and plan, matrix, scripts, execution completion report, Software impact analysis, Back-out and Recovery procedures, Technical Implementation Procedures, Computer run sheet updates, System Documentation, data dictionary updates and System user guide.
- Under minimal supervision conducts and/or participates in Operability and System Integration testing of applications, as required. This includes the development of Operability/System Integration test strategy and plan, test execution and completion report.
- Under minimal supervision, conducts medium to high complexity evaluations for product releases, stand-alone products, etc.
- Acquires solid business knowledge in assigned application programs and information technologies.
- Conducts walk through and quality review of deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, and/or related fields is required. Masters or MBA is preferred;
- 7-10 years software development ?experience in a financial services/commercial banking environment working on Internet, Mobile Banking or Online Payments transaction processing systems.
- Must have expert level development capability in Dot-Net and J2EE development
- Must have significant experience integrating financial transactional systems using enterprise messaging middleware, Web services (REST), SOAP, ISO 8583 etc
- Must be able to capture and create functional specifications from business persons and transform into working software.
- Strong verbal and non- verbal communication skills

Ideal candidates will posses their own visa.
To apply for this role you must be an expert in Dot-Net and J2EE development and have at least 7 years software development experience in commercial banking, mobile banking or online payment transactions.
