Job description / Role
My client, one of the regions leading Real Estate Owner/Developers is looking for an exceptional Development Director to lead their development efforts on new hotel projects across the Middle East.
Based in Dubai and reporting to the CEO youll be:
Assuming the turn-key hotel development responsibility in line with the commercial and operational requirements;
Develop projects within approved budget and on schedule, after land has been sourced by business development through to handover to Asset Management and the Hotel Operator;
Conceiving financially viable hotel developments with rigorous analysis supported by internal teams within the organization and external consultants;
Preparing comprehensive internal project development feasibility and submissions to the Board with the assistance of the Project Management, Asset Management and Business Planning functions;
Projects delivered in a timely and qualitative manner through all the necessary internal and external approvals;
Directly manage assigned Development Managers and the Project Development Teams comprising of Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Design Managers and the external architects, interior designers, MEP consultants and other such consultants;
Assisting Senior Director(s) Asset Management and Director of Business Planning in value enhancement of existing hotel assets involving other company service units;
Assisting and support the teams in receiving internal approvals such as Business Plans/Budgets, Business Forecasts, Strategic Development etc.
Requirements
University educated with a Degree (preferably MBA/Masters) in an Engineering, Construction, Architecture related discipline you will have a proven track record spanning at least 15+ years working on significant hospitality/hotel projects ideally in the Middle East. You will have an exceptional financial, analytical and technical skill set. You will be Team orientated and be able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
