Project growth has created this new opportunity for a Development Manager to join our client’s firm; a leading property development conglomerate, to join their firm and drive the development management across multiple high rise residential projects within the project management team. This role is based in Dubai but core projects are in Saudi Arabia so substantial travel is required.

Reporting to the Project Director; the responsibilities for this role include:

• Preparation of due diligence for high rise residential project comprising branded services apartments and residence on projects in Saudi Arabia from feasibility through to master planning.
• Manage the development life cycle from project concept through to documentation stage, construction and handover in terms of design, budget, program and quality.
• Lead and manage the prequalification and selection of consultants and contractors.
• Review and monitor the performance and operations of all consulting groups and head contractors as per scope of works.
• Monthly and periodic reporting on projects to the CEO and Board.
• Presentation to the Senior Management Team on plans, findings and recommendations for the development.

Requirements

The key attributes for this role include:

• Degree qualification in Construction / Engineering / Architecture or comparable experience considered.
• 15+ years’ experience with at least 10 years’ experience on high rise residential projects is required and be savvy in the development life cycle.
• Must be commercially astute and be adept at Board presentations.
• A self-starter, candidates must be able to drive projects for performance results and display proven leadership abilities specifically with consultants and contractors.
• Must be bilingual in Arabic and English.
