Digital Communications Manager

An established travel consultancy is seeking a Digital Communications Manager to join the Middle East marketing team. The candidate will develop, own and implement delivery of the digital and communication strategy through e-communications, paid digital media, influencers and opinion formers, social media, content creation and e-CRM.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Work closely with SVP Customer Experience Brand and Communications, Senior Manager Public Relations and Senior Manager e-Commerce to formulate and execute Digital Communications Strategy.
* Responsible for all the clients digital and social media space, guiding and shaping the dialogue across their digital media channels.
* Understand how digital and social media strategies are put into effect as part of an integrated marcomms strategy.
* Lead and mentor the Digital Communications Team and work with them to define goals, objectives and plans for channel activity.
* Be responsible for protecting and advancing the company's reputation online and supporting key business priorities through the development of proactive and reactive communications strategies.
* Work with multiple stakeholders including department heads, on the strategy, planning and execution of social media and online campaigns.
* Identify, cultivate, manage and maintain relationships with social media influencers and important voices in the clients online conversation spaces.
* Review the performance of campaign effectiveness, providing persuasive feedback to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
* Rigorously track the cost of all activities, following the set company guidelines from Procurement and Finance.
* Manage content, creation and ensure consistency, sentiment and appearance across all online channels.
* Manage issues and crisis situations in user generated content surrounding the brand and manage as part of the crisis communications team.
* Audit, review and put in place process and procedures within the Digital Communications team.
* Be constantly up to date on digital communication best practice, successful campaigns, updates, emerging networks and new functionality to share with teams and to help reach and engage with consumers.

Key Skills and Experience

* Master's/Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing or other related disciplines.
* 8 years of experience in Digital Communications.
* Knowledge and applied work experience in social media principles and Web 2.0 technologies sufficient to execute, lead or advise others in assuring that online. communication and audience engagement tools and channels are fully leveraged.
* Project management experience and proven analytical skills.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to initiate and manage a continuing editorial process and to conceptualize and execute the online packaging of content.
* Ability to leverage online communication tools and methodologies and to lead research efforts that identify and map strategies to reach intended audiences.
* Experience in search engine optimization, online advertising and online marketing.
* Experience in leading teams across online functionalities.
