Digital Solutions Integration Analyst
We are looking for a strong Digital Solutions Integration Analyst to join the Pearson MEAC Digital Solutions team. Under the direction of the Digital Solutions Operations Manager, this position is directly involved with project implementation, localized development and design of Pearson’s industry leading Content Management Systems and eLearning Platforms. Furthermore he or she will plan, implement and manage medium to complex secure web-based systems and provide configuration to support client deployments. This position exists particularly to support Third Party Integrations (TPI) of client Learning Management System (LMS), specifically BlackBoard and Moodle.
This is a partially “customer-facing” position, as the ideal candidate will need to possess the interpersonal and organizational skills necessary to solicit the data and application needs of the different clients of Pearson Education MEAC (campus administrators, faculty, staff, and students). Working with the Digital Solutions team, the ideal candidate will be able to contribute at all points in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to deployment.
Project Planning and Implementation
•Support implementation and deployment of Pearson Education platforms throughout the Higher Education sector in the Pearson MEAC division.
•Participate in multi-organizational technical projects involving Pearson Platform implementation and digital custom development.
•Develop, use, and provide consulting on best-practice eLearning usage methodologies.
•Guide others and consult on testing methodologies and practices related to software quality assurance.
•Participate in user workshops and
meetings to capture requirements: User experience, functional requirements, instructional design, and performance requirements.
•Assist third-party developers in troubleshooting their integrations with Pearson
APIs and use of other Pearson developer products.
•Experience in programming, testing and debugging multi-user applications.
•Expertise in integration methods and demonstrated ability to perform Third Party Integrations (TPI). Demonstrated knowledge of related tools and utilities including Eclipse, SQL Developer, CVS.
•Ability to automate interfaces and integration to client’s Student Information Systems (SIS), such as Banner.
•Analyze databases and reporting needs; recommend and implement changes.
•Ability to write specification documentations based on client needs.
Consultancy & Training Support:
•Work alongside Technology Specialists, Custom Editors and Academic Consultants to maximise opportunities to apply technology solutions alongside publishing
•Train and assist internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate features and benefits of digital platforms
•Develop and maintain a localized Arabic language Client Technical Support Forum
•Work closely with regional Technical Support team and support queues to debug and resolve technical and coding problems.
•Contributing to Digital Platforms deployment success and adoption
•Work closely with clients and colleagues to collect and analyse client requirements
•Supporting product implementations

Education, Qualifications & Training
•Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree as determined by written evaluation in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
•Demonstrated ability to develop, support and integrate web services
•Minimum 2 years practical experience
•Higher Education, K12 or Corporate eLearning Industry Experience
