Employment: Full Time

The Director of Business Process Improvement defines and leads the development and refinement or full reengineering of business processes, continuous improvement frameworks, policies and practices at an organization-wide level. The incumbent develops and leads strategic implementation of the Business Process Improvement roadmap focused on cost, efficiency, quality improvement, and adoptability based on the organizations maturation. Through leadership, coaching and influencing, ensures Sidras adoption of best practices in regards to internal surveys, quality & service excellence frameworks, productivity monitoring systems, enterprise document and knowledge management and attains desired international recognitions for excellence across its Branches.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Provides strategic leadership to the activities of the department to ensure the development of a capable workforce with the required skills mix to ensure objectives and targets are met.
- Identify and execute on improvement opportunities - supporting the Sidra's performance through efficiency savings, better performing business processes, and patient experience--aligned processes.
- Provide guidance to senior leadership team to help them understand interdependencies, connect operational metrics to business processes and focus improvement strategies and plan to yield productivity improvement, operational excellence and achieve/beat other business objectives.
- Leads cross-functional efforts to focus on core process performance by developing KPIs and other metrics linked to strategic objectives and customer satisfaction
- Ensures Sidras Branches identify opportunities for international recognition and accreditation for excellence in their practice and guides planning towards attaining these goals
- Employs industry best practices (Lean management principles or Six Sigma methodologies) in business process improvement and process analytics into organizational operations in order to accomplish strategic objectives of the organization.
- Leads the development, management and ongoing improvements to the Enterprise Document Management system including the deployment of internal survey tools and data analysis capabilities
- Identifies and evaluates core business processes across Sidra through continuous improvement roadmap, then leads team of business process engineers/architects (Six Sigma-certified) professionals as well as business leaders in the planning, designing, and accomplishing of key process improvement initiatives
- Provides leadership and mentoring on the application of business process improvement tools and methodologies.
- Oversees the planning and execution of business process improvement initiatives that promote continuous improvement, increases operating model consistency, and engages/ empowers employees to enhance the value of service provided to Sidras internal and external stakeholders.
- Acts as a visible champion for BPI principles and practices while establishing and cultivating an environment that encourages problem solving, critical thinking, and innovation across the organization.
- Provides timely, accurate and considered strategic management advice to COO to ensure the department achieves its strategic and operational objectives and targets.
- Ensures human, financial, physical and information technology resources within the department are utilized effectively, ensuring budget and performance, in addition to safety and quality is managed and targets are met.
- Acts as Secretary to the Policy Committee and other select committees that may be determined

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in business discipline
- 10 + years of progressive management experience including 5+ years in business process development and improvement, reengineering and/or leading lean, six sigma projects across a complex organization
- Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Expert, CPE or equivalent
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and establish systematic change
- Ability to influence, facilitate and manage change across departments
- Strong leadership, change management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working with workflow-driven systems
- Experience with enterprise wide policy development, tracking and gaining approvals in a matrix environment
- Experience with Enterprise Document Management systems
- Strong presentation skills to a diverse audience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in written and spoken English
