The Role


The Role

Unicorn Capital Saudi Arabia (UCSA), majority owned by Unicorn Investment Bank (Unicorn), has received approval from Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) to commence operations in the Kingdom. UCSA will provide the Saudi market with an integrated and comprehensive range of Islamic investment products and services, with the full support and depth of Unicorn, an established Islamic investment bank headquartered in Bahrain.

UCSA is a subsidiary of Unicorn Investment Bank B.S.C. (c) and is looking to appoint a Director, Capital Markets, based in Riyadh, to work closely with the CEO and COO in Saudi and the Head of Capital Markets in Bahrain, to support the implementation and execution of Unicorn’s capital market activities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying prospective clients in KSA

• Participating in and supporting market development activities, visits & calls to existing clients and or prospects

• Research, document and execute preliminary reviews and analysis; market trends, sector, company etc.

• Increase UCSA’s activities in;
- Debt/Equity raising through Sukuk or Syndicated Facility
- Refinancing and capital structuring
- Appraisals & Feasibility studies
- Financial Valuations
- Ratings Advisory for the issuers and issues
- Capital markets structured products

• Service and liaise with the Capital Markets Team in Bahrain to supporting existing UCSA clients and assist in winning and executing new mandates

• Support networking activities with other financial institutions to explore alliances or joint ventures

• Winning mandates and or syndicating transactions from a debt /equity raising or Sukuk perspective

Requirements

To be considered for this role candidates must have:

• 5+ years Capital Markets experience in a major financial institution, consulting firm or transaction teams of a “big 4”

• Successful track record in winning mandates, closing & executing transactions

• Relevant educational and Professional qualifications (CA/CPA, MBA, CFA, etc.)

• Middle Eastern experience ideally with networks in KSA

• Strong marketing skills

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong communication & interpersonal skills

• Fluency in Arabic and in English
