Director – Design Studio

Job description / Role

Qatar is growing at a rapid rate. Due to the FIFA World Cup, a number of architectural design firms are moving to Qatar to work on some of the new construction projects in planning. Our client, a local design firm with an international ethos, is seeking an internationally minded Director to oversee their design studio in Qatar, and grow the firm into a major player ion the GCC.

Reporting to the Group CEO, your responsibilities will include:

- Overall management of the design office along side the Design Director
- Review and development of processes and procedures
- Business Development within the Qatar market
- Commercial Management
- Sales and Marketing management
- Corporate restructuring
- Financial analysis and review of financial reports

Requirements

The Attributes we seek include:

- 15 + years in architectural or structural design studios
- Strong business development background
- Degree in Architecture or civil engineering from a western university
