One of my clients, a leading Telecom company in Afghanistan is looking for a Director of International Roaming.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The incumbent will be responsible for overall management of the International Services department. This includes International Carrier Relations as well as International Roaming. The candidate will oversee the two areas from both a wholesale and retail perspective and be responsible for all International revenues and costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, and teamwork

Job Description:

• To formulate business strategy to meet current and future needs of international services

• To provide market intelligence on local and international needs for possible new product development

• To achieve business targets according to the business plan

• To work with the legal, Finance and technology departments on national and international interconnection

• Establish and manage business relationship with international carriers and suppliers
• Compile business proposals and conduct presentations to international carrier and customers
• Negotiate bilateral agreement & accounting settlement and business development with international carriers
• Rates negotiations and analysis on international telecom service
• Liaise with Technology department regarding planning and implementation of capacity links and POP¡¦s
• Establish new roaming agreements & sign preferred agreements with key operators
• Sustain existing and grow roaming revenues
• Increase the pre-paid roaming agreement base
• Establish wholesale SMS partnerships
• Establish implementation of roaming testing tools

• Customer service / customer interfacing experience
• Ability to use a personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)

• Knowledge of telephony products and services
Knowledge of general accounting and billing procedures
