The RoleThe Role1.SUMMARY OF ROLE:: •End to end responsibility for the Post-paid Product and Services •Defining the Post-paid Service applications through the entire Product life cycle, ensure all conditions are right for their commercial success. 2.JOB PROFILE / RESPONSIBILITIES: -->PRODUCT MANAGEMENT AND ROADMAP •Defining the Strategy for Post-paid Product and Services •Development of the Product roadmap •Track and report on performance of products against product plan •Ensure planning consistency between own product roadmap and other Company functions’ roadmaps, and their interconnections •Plan for and deliver best practice initiatives for products to drive revenues in operating companies and report on the results to the business •Specification of product strategy, new product releases and features. •Market introduction of new service applications and enhancements, incl. training of the sales teams and provision of relevant product information to our internal development, marketing, and project management departments. --> PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY •Coordinate and Manage launch of related postpaid Services (Voice for GSM: Voice & live Video for 3G etc.) •Define all Postpaid payment mechanisms •Define detailed marketing requirements in the form of service specification documents based on value proposition briefs from Segment Managers •Project manage implementation of defined services; work closely with Technology and Segment Managers •Develop business cases for products & services jointly with Segment Managers •Develop product/service roadmaps; Manage product/service through its life-cycle •Define, develop, and deliver products based on product roadmaps •Develop business and marketing requirements for products and ensure these are linked to business priorities and business strategy •Ensure that all product manuals are ready before launching the products •Liaise with other functions, such as Marketing, Customer Service, Technology, Operation, Strategy and Finance to collect their inputs to product development process •Build business plans for products, define revenue and cost projections •Work with other company’s departments and other group functions to ensure market research, analysis and competitive intelligence is undertaken and utilized in product development •Maintain the linkage between the business requirements and technical requirements as per the strategy and the market demand 3. KEY RESULT AREAS: •Meeting the Revenue and Acquisition targets for Post-paid •Managing the Product Management and Roadmap for Post-paid •Managing the Product Development and Delivery for Post-paid |
RequirementsRequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: •Excellent skills and minimum 7-8 years relevant experience in the telecommunication industry with a sound understanding of the Post-paid category and systems. Should have been in a business role with at least 4 years in managing Post-paid product and services. -->QUALIFICATION: •Bachelor’s degree in any discipline •Engineering degree with / without MBA (will be a plus) -->CORE COMPETENCIES: •Leadership skills •Customer Focus •Team Work & Co-operation •Communication skills •Organizational Commitment •Achievement Motivation •Financial awareness •Flexibility |
