Job description / Role
Develop overall company’s growth strategy and monitor overall enterprise performance
Provide input into business plans and ensure adherence / alignment with overall strategy
Integrate overall company’s risk exposure and ensure mitigation plans in place
Strategic Planning and Process MGT
Developing the company’s 5 year strategic plan
Gather input from the various stakeholders, perform all analytical tasks required during the strategic planning process such as market assessment and financial implications.
Develop the Corporate and divisional strategy maps, identify objectives, KPIs and initiatives in conjunction with the heads of departments;
Monitor the progress of the strategy maps and KPIs on a quarterly basis, conduct quarterly strategy meeting to present outcomes.
Ensure alignment of departments with the strategic plan
Set-up and implement the business process mapping, ensure processes (level 1, level 2) are documented and communicated to the related functions.
Ensure up-to-date view on the market
Liaise with market research firms to get market data and reports, conduct internal market research, perform market analysis , customer segmentation, product assessment on a regular basis
Research the competitive landscape and support in the development of strategies to pre-empt competition
Support DM, AM and commercial plans by providing view on market dynamics and customer segmentation
Train departments on BSCs methodology, rollout awareness sessions on a periodic bases.
Business Performance
Measure, monitor and report performance for the company overall and for each business
Identify any performance issues and support in designing recommendations to rectify them
Risk Management
Identify and asses key risks by performing scenario and impact analysis (e.g. value at risk)
Monitor and track risks, escalate critical issues to supervisor
Support in development mitigation actions in collaboration with other functions
Requirements
Business capabilities
Minimum of 14+ years of strategy experience in a large regional real estate company with a (annual revenues of at least AED 2 billion)
Consulting background highly preferred.
Deep expertise in strategy frameworks, concepts and practices
Proven expertise in enterprise risk management
In depth knowledge of GCC real-estate market
Interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, proven skills in negotiation and problem resolution
Ability to manage and build consensus among various stakeholders
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
Education
Bachelor degree in business, MBA is highly preferred
Balanced Score Card practitioner certification required
