Job description / Role
Based in Bahrain our client is a leading business group who provide services in Projects Development, Application Management and Acquisition. Our client is currently looking for a Director - Strategy
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Document the evolving group strategy in light of changing external circumstances and shifting internal priorities, alongside the executive tasked with the matter.
- Facilitate the development of the strategic link between the operating entities, the investment holdings, the support platform and the group mandate/vision.
- Provide the relevant strategic and project management skill-sets to implement or support the implementation of various group strategies.
- Act in the capacity of a change agent and help the company evolve by instigating and facilitating change that drives the company towards overall strategic mission.
- Put in place a system or model that links Group goals with employee objectives and drive implementation ensuring communication is cascaded down from executives to mid managers to junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Project Management, Business Administration or similar.
- MBA or Masters Degree
- PMP, IPMA Level B or similar certification strongly desired.
- At least 8 years experience in strategy or similar role
- Banking or finance experience preferred.
- Advanced level of knowledge in Microsoft Office products including MS Project or other project management tools.
- Experience in strategic/project management consultation strongly preferred.
- Bi-lingual in Arabic and English is preferred. Fluency in English is required.
- Energetic, pro-active and innovative multi-tasker, troubleshooter and go-getter.
- Ability to negotiate, obtain buy-in and communicate effectively with individuals of all levels within the Group and externally.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities and team management
- Excellent interpersonal skills and developed EQ
- Ability to work with respect for confidential information.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
