Job description / Role
Bahrain Airport Companys Airport Operations division is currently seeking a candidate to provide leadership for the terminal operations at Bahrain International Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that customer services and travel experience are improved through efficient, safe and timely airport operation that is in compliance with regulatory requirements and international best practices.
THE MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Directing, planning, organizing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of BIAs terminal
Planning work schedules and assigning duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to operational workloads.
Coordinating the review of projects and specifications as they apply to terminal operations
Establishing, publishing and maintaining standard operating procedures, whilst directing the publication of rules and governing the use of terminal facilities and ensures that security and safety at the airport are consistent with BCAA regulations.
Ensuring state of readiness of terminal staff, equipment and other resources for emergency and crises
Ensuring passenger travel experience without compromising on the security and safety of the travelling public
Measuring periodically BIA stakeholder and passengers satisfaction to identify opportunities to improve overall airport experience.
Measuring the performance of government agencies and implementing measures to improve the overall performance of the airport.
Planning facilitates and managing flow, to ensure all passenger and baggage move smoothly and efficiently
Managing traffic flow during accidents, special events or severe weather conditions at the airport.
Coordinating smooth movement of VIP/VVIP through a dedicated team of special services staff.
Aligning the objectives of BAC with various stakeholders to achieve commonality of purpose and singularity of vision.
Implementing and ensuring timely training of staff on all airport procedures including emergency responses.
Evaluating employee performance and preparing performance appraisals.
Planning the annual budget for Terminal Operations.
Requirements
Must hold a Bachelors degree in Aviation Science, Business Management, Marketing or equivalent
Have a minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role
Experience in managing commercial Airport of a similar size
Spoken and written Arabic is preferred
