Director - Full Time, Permanent

A dynamic, international government affairs consultancy in Abu Dhabi seeks a professional with at least five years experience in government relations to serve as its Director for the Middle East. This is an opportunity to run and grow an office in this fast-moving market. The candidate must have proven communication and analytical skills, an ability to interface with senior government officials, and be able to travel internationally.

Duties
• Managment of clients accounts, business relationships, and office management functions.
• Maintain understanding of regional government regulations, politics and processes.
• Engaging with national governments to gain information on current telecommunications practice and to influence outcomes.
• Conducting commercial and competitive intelligence gathering.
• Researching and monitoring international telecommunictaions licensing requirements.
• Drafting applications and developing argumentaion in support of network and equipment approvals.

Requirements

Requirements
• Previous experience in a professional environment.
• A broad understanding of international trade, politics and market trends.
• Outstanding oral and written communications skills in English and Arabic.
• A genuine interest in the telecommunications industry.

Desirable
• Fluency in French.
• Quantitative aptitude.
• Experience in or of the telecommunications industry.

This is an opportunity for broad growth and development. The base salary begins at 35,000 AED, but will be competitive. Bonus and share options also possible.
