Job description / Role
Director - Risk & Market Data, Dubai (English & Arabic preferable)
On behalf of our client, a well-reputed international insurance company we are looking for a Director to look after their Risk & Market Data division.
Your main task will be to contribute to the successful development of the group and attract new customers by providing high quality services and latest market data.
In this challenging role your main responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all Risk & Market Data activities on business units level
- Allocate and monitor operational targets of Risk & Market Data team
- Implement Risk & Market Data strategy on individual project works
- Execute risk action plans for unprofitable policies
- Ensure the quality of the business units underwriting
Requirements
- 10+ years in a managerial role within the Financial Services / Banking industry
- Previous experience in Trade Credit Insurance or in a risk division in a Bank / Big 4 / Audit Firm / Credit Rating agency
- Excellent analytical and business assessment skills
- Broad knowledge and experience in underwriting and contracting
- Ideally knowledge of claims and debt collections processes
- Strong decision maker with excellent problem solving and leadership skills
- Fluent English and preferably Arabic speaker
