Director of City Solutions APEC
Our client, one of the fastest growing providers of public safety and security solutions globally, is looking to expand their team of professionals within the Asia Pacific region. With long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to appoint a professional and market experienced Director of City Solutions to their international sales team who will support the growth and development of their projects in Singapore. This role will support the Key Account Manager with detailed technical product and solution presentations working within the urban and city security arena.
Your responsibilities in this role will include,
Develop and manage business development strategy and sales plans.
Development safety solutions considering urban management, video surveillance and intelligent transportation systems.
Lead opportunities from the initial lead to the signing of documents.
Drive the sales teams in presenting the company's solutions and is also part of the pre-sales process plus supports RFx processes.
Manage activities through the sales cycle including strategic development, recognising prospects, seeking fresh opportunities with current and new customers, qualifying clients, working through proposals to managing the clients through the process to closing the sale.
Train and educate both clients and colleagues for transfer of knowledge for the product and solution into regional sales.
Prepare training materials with marketing and Product Management.
Work closely with Development, Product Marketing, Solution Engineering and Customer Support providing feedback on potential product enhancements and competitive direction
Have the capability to convince the evaluation team of the customer that our solution is the 'solution of choice',
Develop and keeps the product portfolio updated describing unique product features, solutions and services and their benefits to the users.
Participate in industry events and speaking opportunities including running customer presentations, strategy workshops and regional sales campaigns.
Present strong technical knowledge in the mega city security/urban management arena.
Monitor competition to enable products differentiation.
Create strategic alliances / partnerships to complement our solutions and improve market position.
Essential attributes include:
Qualifications in IT engineering or a relevant technical sales background is highly desirable.
5 years of experience in a technical sales role: sales engineer, business development, sales solutions
Local knowledge and experience in China is essential.
Proven track record in contributing to major sales success.
Proven knowledge of big city urban management security projects.
Strong technical background in roles such as SW Engineer, Product Management, Solution Architect.
Experience in working in a Capture Team.
Experience in evaluating technical competence of partners and to negotiate work share.
Background in local large government stakeholder interaction is highly desirable.
Fluent verbal and written English and Mandarin.
A high level of verbal and written presentation skills.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
