Job description / Role
Leap 29 are currently working with a prestigious Health Insurance company based in Qatar who are currently seeking a Director of Finance to run the Finance Department, and oversee other departments in relation to finance issues for the company. You will also manage the team members in the Finance Department, as well as interact with all members of staff within the company relating to finance processes.
You will report to the Managing Director. All Executive Assistants and Department Heads will report directly to you regarding finance matters. You will be responsible for designing and implementing Finance and Accounting policies, ensuring appropriate cash management and treasury functions are in place. You will also be expected to oversee the development, delivery and proper execution of the procurement process which will include vendor selection and performance monitoring.
Requirements
- 10 years or more experience within finance functions
- 3 or more years experience of which should be in a management position
- Qualifications in risk management or insurance
- A background in Healthcare or Health Insurance will be a preference
- A degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent as a minimum a Masters would be preferred
- Professional qualifications in Internal Auditing (CPA/CA/CIA etc.)
- GCC experience is essential
- Fluency in Arabic would be advantageous
