Women’s Hospital – invites suitable candidates to apply for the post of Director of Medical Records –

Job Description:
Responsible for the operations of the Medical Records Department of WH. Requires working with all levels of management and making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Directs all levels Medical Records, transcription, coding and physician support.
o Develop departmental goals and objectives.
o Monitors progress for all departments.
o Facilitates manager development in areas of critical thinking, recruitment feedback, promotion and identification of training requirements for departments and ongoing improvement projects.
o Complies with customer service expectation.

Requirements

Requirements:
o Bachelors in MR Administration, MR Management or equivalent experience in MR (at least 10 years)
o IHRIM or AHIMA Certification, RRA/ART certified.
o 8+ years Experience
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office
o Proven Management skills over a wide range of functions
o Background in coding and transcription systems.
o Demonstrated experience in clinical, coding and abstracting (ICDCM) medical records management, medical terminology, relevant courses in sciences.
o Knowledge of EMR.
