Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City (HBKMC) is currently recruiting an experienced Director of Nursing, who will take responsibility for nursing provision in our busy Pre-Op / PAT department in our modern hospitals based in Doha, Qatar.
You will be responsible for the administrative and clinical aspects of the clinical department and units include organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of cost effective, quality patient care.
Our Directors of Nursing are responsible to the Assistant Executive Director of Nursing and manage one or more defined areas of organized nursing services.
You will allocate available resources to promote efficient, effective, and compassionate nursing care, provide input into executive – level decisions, and keep staff informed of executive – level activities.

We are looking to appoint a full time Director of Nursing to join our Perioperative department on a permanent basis with responsibility for nursing provision in our modern Pre-Operative department.
Our Directors are responsible for organizing, monitoring, and maintaining the services provided in order to achieve the highest possible level of patient care with optimum utilization of the available resources.
You will be responsible for the administrative and clinical aspects of the clinical department, organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of cost effective, quality patient care.
You will ensure that patient care on the unit is performed in accordance with established corporate and hospital policies and procedures and International Standards.
Job Requirement
We would like to hear from experienced Directors or Senior Nursing professionals with at least 5 years experience.
We need you to have a significant amount of experience of Pre-Operative care, strong organizational skills and able to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration
At HMC we expect our Directors of Nursing to have:
Three years Nursing Diploma
A Bachelors degree in Nursing or health care related specialty
Three years experience in a clinical related specialty i.e., Theater, Pre Op, Post Op.
A working knowledge of Performance Improvement Process and International standards.
An understanding of electronic patient recording systems
Highly desirable:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing plus post graduate diploma in Health care related specialty.
3 years Nursing Diploma plus Master Degree in Nursing, or Management or healthcare related specialty.
Clinical and administrative practice with two years’ experience in health care management
