Director of Nursing (Inpatient Services - Cancer Care & Research Hospital)

Diagnostic and therapeutic services include:
- Radiology (CT Scan, CT Planning, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine)
- Radiation Therapy
- Palliative Care
- Physiotherapy
- Psychotherapy
- Laboratory (inpatients & outpatients)
- Pharmacy (inpatients & outpatients)
- Dietetic Services (inpatients & outpatients)
- Social Services (inpatients & outpatients)

Inpatient Services are provided through multidisciplinary teams, based on patient needs, at the following units:
- Medical Oncology (24 beds)
- Hematology (26 beds)
- Palliative Care (10 beds)
- Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (5 beds to be opened end of 2014)
- Intensive Care Unit (4 beds to be opened end of 2014)

Responsibilities:
The Nursing Director will be responsible for all inpatient nursing care provided by 150 Nursing Staff in the National Cancer Care & Research Center. This covers the 26-bed Hematology Ward, 24-bed Oncology Ward, 10 bed Palliative Care Ward, 5-bed Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and 4-bed Intensive Care Unit. The Nursing Director plans, develops, implements and evaluates processes to ensure NCCCR patients are seen in a timely manner that ensures the best possible outcomes. She/he collaborates with physicians and other healthcare managers to put these processes into place. The Nursing Director has experience in clinical leadership, team nursing and early stage of clinical quality improvement.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Nursing + post graduate Diploma in Oncology Care
OR
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing + Master Degree in Nursing Management/ Master of Science in Nursing
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a Senior/Managing Nurse position in a Cancer Care Unit/ Facility
- Experience in managing a multidisciplinary and multinational team

Our National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR)

The 70-bed NCCCR was opened in 2004 and specializes in the delivery of advanced treatment and care for people with cancer and blood disease. It provides both, inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital offers an extensive range of care services for Oncology/Hematology patients including diagnostics, care planning, treatment programs, evaluation and reevaluation.

All services are offered for patients 14 years old and above, while Radiation Oncology is offered for people of all ages, with close coordination with psychosocial, rehabilitation and palliative care support.
