Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Strategically plan, delegate and evaluate services to ensure delivery of quality patient care within the allocated areas of responsibility.
Enforces performance of nursing practice in line with facility policies, procedures and standards.
In collaboration with the Chief of the Medical Staff, drives clinical process improvement by becoming a data-driven organization and the adoption of best practices
Serves as champion for the organization’s patient satisfaction efforts
Complies with DHCC regulations and guidelines
Guides the organization’s emergency preparedness efforts
Committee development and participation to implement nursing department functions and maintains the necessary reports and records related to the work of these committees.
Mentors nurse managers in continuous process improvement utilizing the PDSA performance improvement model
Champions the organization’s transition to an electronic medical record
Plans for nursing services to effectively facilitate high standards of care, and comply with legislation, safety and employee health regulations.
Plans, direct, coordinate and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice and administrative activities including budget, fiscal, material and human resources management assuring the delivery of cost effective, quality patient care.
Performs other job –related duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualification:
Bachelor of Science from an accredited Nursing program.
Current valid registration in country of training and or country of last employment.
Masters in Nursing or health related field ( Desirable)

Experience:
Minimum of five years recent experience in nursing management at a senior level preferably as DON, ADON, or equivalent
Demonstrate competency and effectiveness in:-
