Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit a Qatari national for the role of Director of Procurement to their global team. This role is responsible for the procurement of this global entity for products and services.

Reporting to the CEO and managing a high performing team; this role is responsible for the following:
- Implement strategic sourcing frameworks when necessary for business success
- Establish, build, and maintain relationships with all key suppliers
- Manage contracts and agreements with major suppliers
- Managing and mentoring a dynamic team of purchasing professionals
- Manage the daily operations of the Purchasing, Contracts and Warehouse to ensure that the material and service requirements for the firm are met in a timely, efficient, effective and ethical manner.
- Provide oversight of all purchases in compliance with the company policies and procedures.
- Plan for future operations of the company with emphasis on efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the needs of both internal and external customers, statutory and regulatory compliance, and compliance with requirements as set-forth by various government agencies.
- Prepare, administer and manage departmental budget on an annual basis.
- Analyze and identify future budgetary requirements required to achieve company missions.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all departments and internal and external constituencies through understanding their purpose and objectives.
- Promote and maintain the good name of the company while conducting business in an ethical and professional manner to ensure avoidance of all actual and potential conflicts of interest.
- Maintain current knowledge of advance purchasing methods and techniques, the Uniform Commercial Code, and applicable laws rules and regulations as to be able to recommend revisions to existing practices maximizing efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction and statutory compliance.
- Implement procurement, contracting and warehousing strategies, policies and practices that are efficient and compliant.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of products and services for network through proactive procurement management.
- Participate in improving organizational performance through staff training and development
- Report to management the measurable status of progress and corrective actions as it pertains to supplier performance
- Manages materials savings initiatives in line with overall business objectives

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related fields with a Master Degree in related field or equivalent highly regarded.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in procurement management and administration.
- A further 5 years in a procurement administration leadership role in a large and complex organization is preferable.
- Role is for a Qatari national only.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities essential.
