Job description / Role
Our client is a leading international development company with a number of built assets and a strong pipeline of development projects worldwide. They have an opening for a Director of Procurement to join their team in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost effective management of all procurement related operations for all required goods, equipment, services etc for the entire organisation.
They will be managing and supervising a large team of specialist procurement managers, executives and assistants, and will liaise centrally with all business lines / departments within the organisation as well as externally with suppliers.
Requirements
The position would suit a degree qualified procurement professional with a minimum of 10 years experience in a purchasing function gained in a large organisation.
Preference will be given to candidates that are already based in the Middle East with relevant local experience.
It is essential that the successful candidate has also a sound understanding in corporate risks, credit risks, insurance and travel. They will need to be an fully interact with people at all levels whilst working under pressure.
