The Role


The Role


My client is a Multi-National Software development company predominantly involved in the financial services arena. They are current seeking a Director of Professional Services to help build, manage and grow existing delivery capacity across the region. Experience from a technology perspective in the banking and finance arena is mandatory. The key responsibilities include:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the supply, demand and execution of Professional Services in Middle East:
Demand creation:
- Ensure PS Net revenue targets are achieved through proactive management and entrepreneurial ability
- Responsible for submitting accurate forecast numbers on both realization and revenue to Segment PS manager and direct report
- Requires strong sales ability in closing large or complex deals from creating and presenting value propositions through to contract closure
- Works proactively with Middle East account management and sales functions
- Ensure accurate estimation of effort, costs and revenues on all ME projects involving banking software products
- Ensure adherence to the bid estimation procedures, tools, etc and ensure they are executed effectively and in a timely manner
- Opportunity awareness and creation through defining repeatable services value propositions and tailored to the Middle East market
- Ideally brings a strong network of IT and business professionals and client opportunities
Supply management
- Manage a team of consultants in ME and creates a high performance culture within the group
- Responsible for the team realization and utilization, managing the bench to ensure the highest possible effectiveness of all consultants (Local and various resource pools)
- Track, maintain and develop the skills within the group especially ensuring broadening the skillsets of the group through cross-skill initiatives
- Manage and support team members in meeting individual, team and organizational objectives, providing professional and personal development, creating opportunities and removing barriers to success.
- Successfully mentor to assigned mentorees
- Ensure PPE (Project Performance Evaluation), APE (Annual Performance Appraisal) and CDP (Career Development Programs) are completed on-time
- Manage costs of the group especially salary increases, travel, compensation plans, etc, and participate actively in the yearly budgeting cycle
- Translate, communicate and reinforce the goals, values and priorities of the organization.
- Foster and promote a culture based on knowledge acquisition and transfer
- Work closely with the training manager and resource manager to ensure skills development activities are effective and appropriate with demand
Project Execution
- Overall management and accountability for all ME projects relating to our banking software products within the region
- Take active and billable part of certain projects where PM or high standard quality skills are required
- Responsible for customer satisfaction in all professional services engagements
- Works with project directors, who are responsible for Quality Assurance on all projects and proactively ensures project risks and commercial success are actively monitored and managed.
- Work with the product business unit and client support in resolving bugs / modifications.
- Seek continuous improvement in the processes, methods and standards applied to project delivery.
- Ensure timely collection of all accounts receivables relating to projects owned.
- Through excellent Management practices, promote a culture of excellence, quality and professionalism
- Expected to maintain and build strong customer relationships within the larger engagements.

3. Qualitative deliverables: Projects success rating of 85% or over for closed projects of Middle East portfolio of projects.

BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE:
• Solid understanding of Corporate and Banking Applications (Treasury, Risk, Core Banking, Investment Management, trading and capital markets)
• Good Financial Services business knowledge
• Understanding of Business Processes and Accounting practices
• Demonstrated strong breadth, knowledge and experience in Corporate and Banking application implementation
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
• Awareness and appreciation of financial markets within the region
