Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US and is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Cat nada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit a Director of Strategy, Planning & Business Development to drive the strategic development globally of the firm including management of initiatives and projects at all levels and to provide value added consulting services to improve the strategies, processes, people and technologies.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategy & Investment and managing a business analysis team; this role is responsible for the following:

• Manage the development and implementation of the firm’s business unit strategies, plans and long term objectives and manage strategy updates.
• Manage change management program across the firm.
• Manage all business needs and idea generation across the firm.
• Manage Board of Directors presentations and updates.
• Conduct market and feasibility studies to support strategic growth and decision making.
• Monitor the implementation of strategic plans and initiate corrective activities and interventions.
• Manage the development of organizational performance parameters and key performance indicators
• Work on the documentation of policies, processes and procedures across the network work cycles
• Manage the process improvement activities within the network to achieve operational excellence in all functions.
• Manage the investment team complex opportunities.
• Provide value added consultation to other divisions and departments on work processes to ensure they are in line with leading practices, clear matrix of authorities and proper controls.
• Support management in studying, negotiating and finalizing all relevant development proposals and consulting contracts.
• Lead a team of consultants to deliver initiatives across the firm.
• Develop and coach consultants to develop their skills in corporate development

Requirements

The attributes we seek for suitably qualified candidates comprise:

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fields, is essential. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in strategy development, consulting, corporate development and/or organizational development with experience from the media or broadcasting industry. Candidates must have a strong grasp of the media industry globally (players, dynamics, trends)
• Experience in the MENA media sector is highly desirable.
• Must have a strong grasp of the global media industry in terms of players, dynamics and trends.
• Exceptional communication skills.
