Job description / Role

JOB PURPOSE

To coordinate and arrange the timely dispatch of Chemanol products in accord with the defined sales targets, policies & procedures.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Policies, Processes and Procedures
Follows up policies, processes and procedures for logistics department to ensure all relevant procedures are fulfilled.

Issuance of Product loading request
Prepares product loading request in SAP on daily basis as per the daily dispatch plan given by the logistics planning team to ensure the correct and timely dispatch of products.

Incoming- Outgoing gate passes
Prepares incoming and outgoing gates passes for divers – vehicles for product dispatch.

Issuance of Delivery orders
Issues delivery orders for all the products as per the weight slip provided by operation department for loading of the product.

Knowledge of ERP system
Fair knowledge of SAP that is required for smooth functioning of Logistics Department.

Preparation of Shipping documents
Supervises, assists or prepares shipping documents like Invoice, Certificate of origin, Packing list, Certificate of analysis for all outbound products as per the OD/LC terms and conditions.
Co-ordination

Co-ordinates with external agencies like transporters, shipping lines and internally with operations, finance and QC departments for timely dispatch of product.

Parking of Invoices
Creates shipping cost in SAP for all the delivery order and thereafter parking the transport invoices to ensure further course of action by the finance department.

Liquid Movement
Performs a different SAP activity for liquid cargoes/ bulk shipments for the material to be transferred to the shore tanks to dispatch the product through pipelines or road tankers.

Supervision
Supervises the overall tank/ container movement and co-ordinates for maintenance or repairs of road tankers for tank availability.

Audit
Performs the internal and external audit activity for logistics department to ensure all the procedures and process are fulfilled.

Safety, Health & Environment
Ensures compliance to all relevant security, safety, heath & environmental procedures across the department in order to promote a healthy & safe work environment.

Requirements

Academic and professional qualifications:
Graduate (Commerce/ business) with logistics background, local and export.

Experience:
Over 10-12 years of experience in logistics in a similar Industry.

Languages:
English is compulsory and Arabic would be an added advantage.

Skills:
Time management.

Competencies:
Effective planner.
