Employment: Full Time

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director, Channel Management Function for MEA, the incumbent will support the Channel Management team to drive the development of Medtronics distributors/partners on the operational side in terms of the right processes, service delivery, automation, inventory management, financial management, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Develop a SWAT analysis of our distributors in a country, in order to help the DCM function decide which distributor is a better fit for future partnership/JV; identify operational gaps and develop action plans to close them.
- Collaborate with different departments and businesses in order to identify distributor strengths and improvement needs.
- Provide management consultancy to Medtronic distributors to help them enhance their internal operations.
- Support the regional Distributor Channel Managers the Distributor Effectiveness team in the development of distributor operational structures, systems and processes that will facilitate the flow of Medtronic businessm which will include:
* Key fulfillment processes
* Customer service delivery
* Process automation
* Inventory management
* Financial management
* Efficiency improvement
- Address operational issues related to the Medtronic business and provide appropriate feedback to regional Distributor Channel Managers.
- Implement a proven management operating system.
- Align and execute Medtronic distributor goals, objectives, and processes through frontline coaching.
- Unlock ideas for improvement.
- Understand and present appropriate metrics and data that will support the business case for channel transition projects.
- Perform a current state analysis of MDTs distributors / partners deploying various tools and techniques such as SWOT, 6 Sigma, process analysis and financial modelling.
- Draw up action plans to close the performance gap of distributors and make recommendations on which are a better fit for future partnerships / JVs.
- Extensive travel to distributor channels within MEA will be required 60%.

Requirements

- BA in Business Management, MBA a plus.
- 3 years experience with a management, strategy, and business development consulting firm.
- Experience in corporate structures and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills.
- Ability to confront difficult issues with ease.
- Team oriented.
- Leadership skills.
- Computer skills: advanced Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Project management skills.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification a plus
