The RoleThe RoleThe Divisional Director will proactively contribute strategic guidance, direction and management for the general positioning of the Transport and Infrastructure division through a team of Country Managers and local Sector Managers. A pivotal role within the Transport and Infrastructure division, the role will utilise technical and business skills with activities ranging from commercial and business activities to project leadership. Responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited: Project Manager/Director leading multi-disciplinary design and study teams on various major infrastructure projects. Strategic planning for growth, contributing and driving divisions business planning processes, leadership of prospect capture and proposal activity. Responsible for commercial and risk management issues. Ensure business development direction of the transportation and infrastructure is aligned with business activities and objectives. Oversee and support engineering teams feasibility studies, design, construction and project management for infrastructure projects. Seek out opportunities for pro-active customer engagement with key customers and opportunities to promote the skills of the whole division. Continuously review business operations, covering regional strategy, management systems, IT development, office facilities and administration, resource utilisation, personnel development and QES compliance. Collate, analyse and disseminate market intelligence aligned to identifying future iconic projects and prepare capture plans. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe successful candidate will likely have the following skills and experience: Chartered/Professional Engineer status is essential. Preferably Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Experience of working on rail, metro, civil and tunnel engineering design and construction based projects is essential. Proven Strength and capability in business development and strategic business planning in Hong Kongs engineering market. Strong preference would be for major infrastructure, regional project, engineering management experience in Hong Kong. Experience working at a strategic level on significant engineering commissions, preferably civil discipline based, is essential. A strong background in comprehensive project management of transportation infrastructure projects including design and construction supervision. Experience with proposal preparation requirements by the HK Government is essential. Prior experience of working with Hong Kong regional organisations would be of benefit to any applicant. Commercially astute, strong business acumen and a personal pride in delivering to and exceeding targets. Motivated and motivational, willing to lead by example and inspire.
