RIYADH METRO TRANSIT CONSULTANT
(For the Riyadh Metro Project)
ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting into the Project Controls Manager and working alongside the Administration Manager, the Document Control Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the document and drawing control systems.
KEY DUTIES:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Managing and providing guidance and training for a large team of Document Controllers
Taking responsibility for all aspects of corporate and project document control and records management including establishing and implementing policies and procedures, managing document control operations and, planning for enhancements
Establishing and maintaining an efficient & systematic electronic document management system including workflows
Liaising with Clients, Contractors & other stakeholders Document Controls team on day-to-day basis
Leading in coordination functions, issues of the electronic document management systems with the service provider
Developing written document control procedures to ensure system efficiency and updating the procedures as they evolve
Taking responsibility for the proper delivery and filing of all documents (electronic and hardcopy) intended for the project and ensuring all enclosures (manuals, CDs, etc) are attached
Liaising with different departments in arranging for training of personnel to ensure proper utilization of document control systems
Providing periodic reports (users reports, log reports, status reports, etc) to the Project Controls Manager
Taking the lead in corporate audits in relation to document controls
Requirements
ESSENTIAL:
Over 5 years experience with degree or professional qualification in a technical subject matter
Experience in managing and /or supervising a team of Document Controllers in engineering or construction organization
Strong experience of the Primavera Contract Manager (PCM), Encompass or Citrix Electronic Data Management Systems
Experience in electronic workflow tracking and archiving to ensure integrity and security of documents
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
DESIRABLE:
Experience in rail, metro or related project
Experience of the Aconex Electronic Data management System
