About the Business

Description and Desired Qualifications
Job Purpose: This position is responsible for performing document publishing tasks using word processing and desktop publishing software. Responsibilities will include working on tasks such as complex document design and development, formatting, and desktop publishing on reports, proposals, presentations, specs, and spreadsheets. The incumbent has mastery of and expert skills in MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat with text input speed and accuracy. He/she has excellent skills in workload leveling and remote work sharing. This role applies expert administrative skills gained through significant experience. This position works independently to achieve assignment outcomes. He/she exercises independent judgment in determining work methods and balancing competing priorities.Job

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Performs complicated document publishing operations with use of MS Office Suite and frequently other specialty software applications (InDesign, Illustrator, or HTML), including complex document design and development, formatting, and desktop publishing on reports, proposals, presentations, specs, and spreadsheets.
• Acts as lead document publishing specialist.
• Designs, develops, and formats complicated documents with use of page layout techniques, either in Word or InDesign, effectively using color & layout techniques.
• Frequently generates complicated graphics, schedules, diagrams, and spreadsheets using a variety of specialty applications, including PowerPoint.
• Frequently acts as an office resource, answering questions on effective use of MS Office software. Provides training to consulting or publications staff, including other document publishing specialists. Frequently acts as resource on specialty applications.
• Develops best practices for publications staff in all disciplines, and promotes their use by staff

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• 5-6 years of experience preferred.
• Extensive training in software applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe InDesign.
• Experience in delivering high quality documents in a time-driven environment
• Experience in Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) Industry or Professional Services industry experience would be desirable.
