Job description / Role
Kentz has an urgent requirement for an experienced Mechanical Draftsman and an Electrical and Instrumentation Draftsman. Job duration is for the initial period of one year and could be extended depending on the job requirement.
Responsibility:
Prepare and update drawings related to safety manuals, ongoing / new modification jobs and brown field projects.
Requirements
- Three years Diploma from a Technical Institute for Drafting and Engineering Technology. Seven years design drafting experience in oil and gas industry.
- Excellent AutoCAD skills, Word Processing and Spreadsheet capability. A good understanding of AutoCAD enhancement programs. Good experience in site verification and As-Building activities (i.e. Walkthrough, Interpreting data from 3D laser scanning, etc.).
- Good general knowledge of the Standard and Codes applicable to drawings prepared for the Oil Industry.
- Ability to organise and prioritise multi-disciplinary design drafting work to meet the target dates. Good leadership skills, with written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Technical competence to produce a complete set of shop/fabrication drawings with high accuracy, based on the pre-engineering site survey.
- Good command of English language.
- Familiar with multi-discipline drafting functions (Electrical/Instrumentation/Piping/Mechanical/or Civil/Structural) and specialist in one major discipline e.g. Piping/Mechanical.
- In addition to the above, if any of the SmartPlant Tools are to be used, the candidate shall also process the following capabilities and experience.
- Very good knowledge of Integraph's SmartPlant Tools [SP3D, SmartPlant Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (SPPID), SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) and SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL)]. Must have the ability to generate 3D models and extract multi-discipline 2D Drawings (all types), Reports, Data sheets (all types), etc.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in related field of SmartPlant Tools.
