Job description / Role

Objectives:
An architectural draftsmen is responsible for creating the plans used to construct buildings ranging from modest residences to exotic skyscrapers. They typically operate from architectural drawings or models, specification sheets, material lists and engineering calculations. Although some drafters still use conventional tools, it is more common for them to use computer-aided drafting software, commonly called CAD, to execute their work.

The Draftsmen produce renderings of an employer's idea or vision. These drawings are used as a visual guide during the construction process. In addition to create sketches for residential and commercial properties, a draftsman may also draw roads or any kind of infrastructure.

Main responsibilities:
- The draftsman is responsible for the visual representation of the building or the structure for the developers.
- They have to remain touch with the architects and engineers in order to add to the value of the work or add aesthetic value to the sketches.
- A draftsman should also incorporate changes or modifications according to the suggestions of the architect or the engineer.
- Should have the ability to put thoughts into action as far as making drawings are concerned.
- After the completion of the initial sketches, the draftsman should present them to the architect for appropriate implementation.

Requirements

University Qualifications:
2 to 4 years of Coursework/Diploma in architecture

Nature and length of previous experience:
2-3 Years experience as Draftsman in GCC Countries.

Specialist knowledge:
AutoCAD Proficient

Positive hard-working attitude.
Team player.
