Draughtsman

Job description / Role

Our client, one of the most prestigious architectural metal work firms in Dubai, are seeking to recruit qualified draughtsman who has hands-on drawing experience in metal work.

The company is associated with number of fit-outs for prestigious hotels, residential and commercial projects in UAE. The company has a fully equipped factory and they are a market leader in Architectural & Ornamental Metal Works, Industrial Metal Works and Machining of Parts. Typical scope of works are stainless steel railings, hood cladding, glazed balustrades, screens, brass, bronze special finishes, wrought iron railings and metal furniture.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbent needs to provide layouts and detailed technical drawings on AutoCAD with the schedule and as per each project requirements. Accordingly, the job holder will:
- Support design department & contract managers with projects drawings from concept to hand-over
- Liaise with projects managers and estimation engineers in order to obtain clear information about design & specifications.
- Create detailed CAD drawings for each project for site work
- Create detailed CAD drawings solid works for production team
- Carry out site surveys
- Participate in the process improvement in terms of design & manufacturing cost.
- Produce work as per schedule & required quality

Requirements

- Should have Diploma in AutoCAD or related discipline
- Should demonstrate hands-on experience in using AutoCAD
- Should have good knowledge about all type of Steel Work, in production as well as in architectural design
- Should have at least five years of work experience in AutoCAD gained from being work for steel company
- Well organized and able to work under pressure
