The RoleThe RoleInternational Shipyard Operator Annual Salary circa AED 72,000 + ticket + medical Based in Dubai, UAE A challenging opportunity now exists with a major shipyard operator. They are currently seeking to hire experienced Draughtsmen (Multiple Vacancies). The role is based in Dubai, UAE. Main responsibility will be preparation of Engineering Deliverables, training and inspections for an assigned project. Responsibilities: Checking engineering deliverables assuring that they are mistake free and in line with required project standards. Lead, guide, manage, and train drafting personnel assigned to the project and ensure they are working in accordance with relevant work instructions and OH&S requirements. Preparation of design drawings following Class Rules and guidance from responsible engineer. Preparation of detailed production design including 3D model. Producing production fabrication and installation drawings. Preparation of bill of materials and weight calculations. Inspection on board vessel or assemblies for preparation verification or improvement. Maintaining the discipline of the department. Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed. |
RequirementsRequirements Naval Architecture Diploma or Diploma in Marine / Mechanical Engineering - Draughting 5 years experience in a shipyard as a Draughtsman/Engineer Experience in producing engineering drawings for New Ship Buildings and Ship Conversions. Knowledge of standard welding processes. Knowledge of standard marine engineering procedures in drawing detailing (IACS/Yard standard). Knowledge and experience In Auto CAD and 3D modeling. Experience with Integrated design software such as Ship Constructor, FORAN or similar. Good English communication skills |
