Job description / Role
ABOUT CLIENT:
An exciting opportunity with an established leading South East Asia based National Oil Company that functions throughout offshore development sites.
JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE:
Primary drilling focal point with subsurface department & act as key member of project team
Propose conceptual well designs, Peer review with other technical custodians to develop a cost effective detail designs, Prepare drilling programs whilst performing feasibility studies & assessing new technologies and assuring all well objectives are met as per Companys procedures & standards
Obtain necessary formal approvals both internal and external prior to commencement of work
Perform cost estimation, Prepare AFE, Monitor drilling operation daily cost
Participate in HAZOPS, SIMOPS and Risk Assessments process
Provide well engineering input & support during all stages of the wells delivery processes to the Drilling Manager
Analyses drilling performance, Recommend changes in procedures & equipment based on findings, Make continuous effort to improve well construction performance
Maintain drilling documentation, including but not limited to BOD, Casing design, Hydraulics, Torque & Drag, AFE, DWOP, MOC, EOWR, Lessons Learned, etc..
Liaise with vendors, suppliers and service providers and track their performances continuously
Demonstrate safe behaviours & comply with company QHSE policies and standards
Act as coach and mentor for Junior Engineers

Requirements
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of offshore experience
Bachelors degree in relevant discipline
