E-Commerce Manager

Job description / Role

A global client of ours, experiencing a large period of growth and investment, are looking to bring in an innovative and experience E-Commerce Manager responsible for the definition, alignment and execution of the groups e-commerce strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing a newly emerging E-Commerce team tasked with providing analytical insight to an array of e-commerce data obtained from the company's in-house booking systems measuring e-commerce activity.

Working as part of a small but dynamic team, and within a relatively new but growing function, you will be primarily responsible for:
- Developing plans to expand the usage of e-commerce by customers, including product enhancement, training of sales staff to promote the use of e-commerce and direct engagement with key customers who are potential e-commerce users.
- Lead the development of relevant e-commerce products and ensure that they remain at the leading edge of available products.
- Develop and update learning material related to Ecommerce to impart standardized knowledge across the group
- Manage involvement with Ecommerce solution providers
- Interact with key customers and agencies to ensure problem resolution and technical assistance is delivered in an efficient and timely manner
- Monitor the levels of usage of the different e-commerce products against targets and adjust plans as necessary in order to reach targets.
- Provide input to sales strategy and technical solution enhancement in relation to e-commerce development.

Requirements

A solid understanding of IT/Web systems and the relationship with e-commerce is required, and candidates are expected to have extensive experience within a similar role.

Candidates with experience working in the telecom, logistics, aviation or shipping industries in particular will be of interest to the client.

Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English, and due to the nature of the role are expected to have excellent leadership and man-management skills.
