Employment: Full Time

- Identify international and local environmental regulations to ensure compliance by facilities including contractors and serve as a local resource & liaison for any facility Safety, Health and Environment requirements. To develop, implement and maintain safety management systems and procedures to reduce occupational injuries, illness, deaths, financial losses and prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions, utilizing knowledge of chemical and other industrial processes and industrial health and safety laws, standards and regulations. Ensure the proper implementation of companys Process Safety Management standards and procedures.
- Track, and identify applicable laws & regulations with specific emphasize on Air & Water Quality, Noise levels and solid & hazardous waste to evaluate the potential impact of these laws on the operations of facilities.
- Maintain and revise the environmental aspect and impact register periodically review the department procedures to ensure compliance with latest impact statements.
- Prepare scope of work related to Safety and Environment for new projects to ensure developing processes to handle Safety and environmental issues.
- Develop and implement Safety and environmental Programs including Process Safety Management (PSM) to ensure the safety of all employees, in consideration of the activities being performed, processes involved and materials being used. Perform audits and inspections against the established programs and standards to ensure effectiveness of the systems.
- Monitor the compliance to the established safety requirements. Update the management about the performance of the organization in terms safe man-hours, injuries and first aid cases, incidents or accidents or any other pertinent information that will be the basis for continuous improvement of the system. Communicate to government and other agencies as necessary and as required in the regulations.
- Carry out studies along with the environment consultants to stay abreast with best practice in environment regionally and internationally and recommending appropriate policies. Prepare the Environment Operation Permit for all facilities.
- Support the environment activities through close monitoring and to develop emergencies respond plans to ensure minimum damages. Review draft regulations based on public request to study each case and recommend accordingly to regulators.
- Participate and Conduct investigations for incidents and accidents occurring in the plant and report findings to the management.
- Implements and administers established health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, and practices to meet requirements supporting short and long-term business needs.
- Collaborates with employees and supervisors to identify and correct potential environmental, safety and health hazards.
- Manages and coordinates company's health, safety and environmental function in accordance with corporate policies and procedures to meet companys business requirements.

Requirements

- Professional qualifications in Safety Management.
- Engineering Degree qualification preferred.
- Preferably with certification from Safety Organizations international or locally (ie NEBOSH, CITB, CIEH, IOSH, IEMA, SPA Passport etc)
- At least 10 years experience with solid background in HSE.
- Experience working within industrial manufacturing/ Oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals or related industry required.
- Fluent English communication skills required
