The RoleThe RoleObjective: This role is to provide the highest levels of design expertise as it relates to HV and EHV Cable Design for major projects based in the UK. Main responsibilities : The ideal candidate will meet most, if not all, of the criteria set out below. 1) HV and EHV cable system design up to 400KV 2) Knowledge of current rating calculation 3) Knowledge of sheath bounding arrangement 4) Knowledge of the following IEC codes: 60287, 60840 and 62067 5) Degree in Electrical Engineering 6) 3-5 years experience post graduation experience. Additionally, experience of the following would be an advantage 1) Hydraulic design of oil filled cable 2) Cable installation knowledge Reporting to : Design and Development Manager Number required : 5 Duration : Permanent Desired start date : ASAP Probation : 3 Months Working hours : Mon - Friday - 9am-5pm Travel requirements : Occasional travel to other sites in the UK Gross monthly base salary : £3000 approx Commission / Bonus : non contractual bonus Other Benefits : Relocation costs, Company Pension, Paid Leave, Life Assurance |
