Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The EIA/Air Quality Specialist is expected to perform the following functions:
• Coordinate and liaise between the client, project manager and field technicians
• Supervise, conduct, analyze and review ambient air quality monitoring in support of environmental baseline assessments
• Lead, and when necessary, conduct;
- LDAR monitoring campaigns
- CEMS calibration and testing
- Ambient air quality monitoring
• Provide general support to the development of project Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Participate in environmental baseline assessments, audits and dispersion modeling
• Leverage knowledge and experience to contribute to URS’ continued air quality leadership in Qatar and the Middle East

Requirements

The Air Quality Specialist should have as a minimum:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Science/Engineering
• Minimum 4 years’ experience both in the field and in conducting desktop studies
• Preference will be given to candidates with a Masters degree in atmospheric/environmental sciences or a strong combination of education and experience
• Experience conducting ambient air quality monitoring, fugitive emissions monitoring (LDAR) and stack performance testing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience conducting ENVID assessments
• Experience working with oil and gas, petrochemical, power, industrial and regulatory clients
• Indoor air quality assessment
