Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Maintains a continuing review of the progress of each (sub) contract and provides management with information regarding any financial, legal or technical difficulties.
Maintaining day to day correspondence with subcontractors and client, responding to and initiating letters and Site Instructions in a prompt and timely matter. Tracking, solving, and following up on all open issues. Requesting outside support as required and necessary.
Prepares / evaluates / quantifies change orders, variation requests and amendments, negotiate with (sub) contractors to obtain settlement in coordination with Home Office guidance.
Preparing the monthly valuations, progress, and final accounts against contract terms and conditions.
Providing commercial/contractual inputs and preparation of Variations to Contract.
Collecting data for the evaluating claims submitted by sub-contractors, and verifying if they are valid.
Liaising and providing commercial/contractual awareness to other disciplines (Engineering, Operation, Maintenance, etc).
Demonstrate a personal commitment to HSEQ by following Statutory HSEQ Regulations and Corporate Policies and Management Systems.

Requirements

EPC Subcontracts and purchasing experience, preferably with one of the top 10 EPC companies. Experience in the oil and gas business sector. Preferable experience in: Pipelines, road works, civil works, turbine generators, and compressor / pumping stations.
Strong knowledge of Commercial Terms and Conditions and understanding of the Contracts, and the ability to determine acceptable alternatives when dealing with Clients and Vendors / Subcontractors.
Results focused problem solver, able to prioritize and make decisions appropriately always with the purpose to obtain best results for the company
Ability to lead commercial issues and deal directly with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
At least 3-5 years track record of successfully leading and managing high profile contracting projects with major companies in the engineering and construction sector & managing major contracts successfully
Tough negotiator; precise and detailed in following up; ability to solve contractual issues.
Good verbal communication skills, fluent English,
Ability to draft and issue small site Procurements and Contracts.
Ability to draft clear and concise communications
Willingness to live at Site Camp in Iraq.
