ETL Developer

Job description / Role

- The candidate must be able to program in JAVA using the IDE (Eclipse / Net Beans) and JVM (Java Virtual Machine) along with familiarity with various SDEs.
- Expertise in SQL Server/oracle Database development
- Experienced in VB Scripting
- Advanced Knowledge in SQL /T-SQL
- Should have experience in Design , development, troubleshooting and optimizing ETL jobs ; interpret ETL logs etc
- Good in performance tuning especially tuning complex queries, procedure and indexing strategies for SQL Server
- Experience in Data Modeling, Database design and well versed with SQL Server best practices
- The candidate must be able to programme in GROOVY (scripting language) and have exposure to Perl, Python, Ruby and Smalltalk would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of, MS-MQ Series, , Enterprise Service Bus (IBM ESB) and the full SDLC.
- Proven track record of liaising with business / systems analysts, end users and vendors for business requirements and solution development.
- Should have handled support role and numerical skills with ability to work independently and within a team managing time deadlines.

Requirements

- Should possess a graduate degree or qualification in / Information Systems / Engineering - with a special focus on software programming and scripting.
- Minimum 5+ years experience with SQL Server Business Intelligence tools especially in Integration Services (SSIS)
- Candidate must display strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Arabic is desirable, but not essential.
