Econometrician – Business Science Director

My client based in Dubai. This is great opportunity to work with a true major player in the industry.

The Business Science Director will be responsible for designing, managing and delivering analytical projects. The person needs to be client facing and have a strong technical understanding of the techniques being used and the ways that these projects can be directed to make our clients better off.

The Business Science Director will also have significant responsibilities for building and then the day to day running of the department, building and maintaining a productive, happy and skilled workforce and driving the profitable growth of the team.

Requirements

Being a Director in Business Science also entails significant responsibility to the rest of the group, ensuring the department is integrating fully with the rest of the business to deliver the best overall offering to our clients, current and prospect.

•Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring the team exceeds clients’ expectations

•Diagnosing the real issue that an analytical project can solve given all the constraints available on budgets and data availability

•Building an architecture to guide project management and structure delivery schedule

•Defining the correct data specification and agreeing delivery schedule

•Motivating the broad team on the project so that optimum results are achieved

•Negotiating with the client when issues arise

•Specifying analytics and ensuring quality control on all models

•Managing work in progress meeting

•Creating actionable insights from findings
