Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Position Responsibilities:
Performs the needed research into community affairs, and provides specialist insight towards the development of economic plans accordingly.

Reports to the Director, Economic Planning Department, Strategic Planning & Investment Development Division of the Royal Commission in Yanbu (RC).

Strategy Formulation:
Implementation of department policies, goals, objectives, and procedures and support in their development as needed.

Budgeting & Controlling:
Assists in the development and implementation of business plans while ensuring to work within defined
budget parameters.

Operational Tasks:
Identifies best community concept (e.g. needed numbers / quality / types of community facilities (hospitals, schools, etc.) to support/increase city attractiveness and to address revenue enhancement objectives.

Conducts economical analysis of potential cluster opportunities, taking into consideration the Royal
Commission’s objectives, strategic plans and city needs.

Develops economic objectives for social/community affairs, coordinates with various
stakeholders/tenants/investors in order to obtain the necessary feedback to refine economic plans and
objectives.

Reviews city zoning plans, master plans, and other related information in order to assess potential locations/areas for social economic planning opportunities.

Performs the needed research into community affairs, and provides specialist insight towards the
development of economic plans accordingly.

Supervises, coordinates, and directs the needed teams to implement the needed detailed work plans to
accomplish functions operational objectives.

Oversees the implementation of operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans.

Meets with existing tenants in the cities on a routine basis in order to identify the needed community
requirements and assesses the impact of the same on existing economic plans.

People Management:
When applicable, ensures subordinates and superiors are well informed at all times.
Evaluates subordinates performance in a fair, transparent, and objective manner on a periodic basis.

Related Assignments:
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

Education / Experience Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Economics, Economic Planning).
Master’s degree preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in the field of Community Economic Planning.
• Experience in Petrochemical and Industrial, Commercial and Residential Development.
• Experience in conducting studies and preparing reports related to economic planning.
• Experience in the review of social affairs, economic plans and the development of needed city social
concepts.
• Knowledge of economic trends and their application.
• Knowledge of economic stimulators or boosters as tools to strengthen the economy.
• Certification, preferred.
