The RoleThe RoleYou will be required to take ownership of the electrical power installations in the Nawras Data Centres. You will be responsible for the specifications, reviews and revisions of the existing electrical design as well as design, planning and follow-up of the new systems which will be implemented. You will also be responsible for the following: The overall electrical power supply for the respective Data Centres. Capacity requirements and calculations. Medium and Low voltage distribution systems as well as switchboards. Bus bar trunking systems, Cabling principles and all electrical cabling installations. Horizontal and vertical distribution ways and Protective devices and switchgear. Emergency power systems, i.e. UPS systems, rectifiers, by-pass systems, breakers and generator systems. Electrical safety for the electrical installation and Lightning protection. Lighting fixture arrangements as well as the emergency lighting. Grounding and equipping potential bonding (including signal reference grids). Data Centre electrical efficiency and performance and Applicable codes and standards are introduced. |
RequirementsRequirementsYou have a University degree or College Diploma in the field of Electrical Engineering with 3 years of experience from a high grade Data Centre environment. You have Good overall knowledge of other Data Centre technical disciplines, e.g. mechanical (especially cooling equipment), physical security, BMS, fire fighting systems, health and safety, network cabling and transmission systems. you have experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. You are able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. You can react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. You are flexible during times of change with the ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. You have the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. You have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. |
