Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Working as Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for electrical analysis and design assistance on projects, further developing your knowledge of the contract document process and the electrical systems selections process. This role is an integral part of our Design Division and will have involvement on a range of project types and scales.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:

Working knowledge of building electrical systems design including lighting, fire detection and alarms, BMS systems, data/voice structured cabling, access control and CCTV.
Designing of electrical systems associated with tall towers, commercial buildings, large mixed use developments, hospitality and residential projects.
Determining feasibility of projects based on information provided.
Examining field conditions as required supporting development and completion of projects.
Generating and preparing calculations, construction documents and specifications.
Providing direction as required to solve construction related issues.
Performing tasks within defined schedules and project budgets.
Working independently on small projects or assisting more senior engineers on larger projects.
Proficiency in using electrical design software and analysis tools, BIM Software such as Revit MEP is essential.
Working knowledge of local Regulations as well as NFPA, British, and EIA/TIA codes and standards.
Excellent communication and time management skills.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of 6 years post-graduate experience.

Professional registration from a recognized body would be preferred.

Previous experience gained within a Consultancy Firm and within the Gulf Region would be advantageous.
