Job description / Role
- Able to lead, plane and organize works for projects i.e. shipbuilding and ship repairs projects for the electrical section
- Able to review Test Plan, single line drawings of power system, control system. cable ladder, MCT or coaming installation, panel deposition etc.
- Follow up on Test procedures for commissioning.
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical Engineering with at least five (5) years direct working experience in shipbuilding or offshore industry;
- Knowledge of marine class surveyor rule;
- Understand and able read electrical installation & control circuit drawing;
- Able to co-ordinate with vendor or supplier in technical matter & commissioning;
- Effective analysis and problem solving skills;
- Must have computer knowledge in AutoCAD, Corel Draw etc.;
- Good command of English and Azeri (preferred but not necessary).
About the Company
Baku Shipyard LLC joint venture was founded on May 10, 2011 under the laws of Azerbaijan with State Oil Company of Azerbaijan owning 65%, Azerbaijan Investment Company 25%, and Keppel Offshore Marine 10%, has developed and put into operation the most modern shipbuilding and ship repair facility in the Caspian Sea. Main activity of the Baku Shipyard consists of the construction of a variety of vessels ranging from offshore support vessels, general cargo vessels, tug boats, crane vessels, specialized vessels and passengers vessels to tankers. The yard also undertakes ship repair and conversion of such vessels.
